Definitely my best meal ever in Belfast. All the courses are wonderfully delicious. The staff is great, kind and accessible, very professional. Only 2 things to improve, it is lightly too hot in the room and the waiting between the courses is a bit long but still ok. The prices are lower than same quality restaurants in France. 5 stars absolutely deserved.
Took a friend here for their birthday lunch. Had not been to Shu in well over a decade. Lovely decor and a nice welcome. The menu was varied and food delicious including beef tartare for starter, slow cooked lamb for main and pistachio and olive oil cake for dessert which was a revelation. At the end, asked for the bill and the waitress said she would get it but no rush to us to have to get up and leave now we were finished which was nice. Don’t know why I hadn’t been here in so long but I will definitely come back.
Food was good but service was slow with long wait between courses and no acceptable explanation given just that they were very busy and plating of main course depends on when starters are cleared. This did not explain why two groups who had arrived after us had orders taken before we did or why they had finished mains long before ours arrived. A shame really because staff were pleasant and food was good when it arrived.

We’ve photographed two wedding receptions at Cafe Parisien. Its a fantastic venue with excellent service. Its a super chic location for a city wedding and just a stones throw from Belfast City Hall. We’d highly recommend Cafe Parisien for intimate city weddings.
A fantastic restaurant, the food was beautiful and the staff were fantastic and very helpful. The cocktails were amazing! Worth every penny would 100% recommend and will be back.
Attended my work Christmas Do here. Fantastic night. The staff were lovely, food was delicious (probably the best Christmas dinner I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant) and atmosphere was perfect. Great venue for private hire. Thank you.

Went here for a lovely meal with some friends and was not disappointed. Most of us opted for the 5 tapas deal which was very good value for money. All the food was fantastic with no complaints from anyone on any of the dishes. I personally had 5 different tapas and couldn’t pick my favourite between them.
Great cocktails (all £9.50), and the chicken wings were moreish. Some tapas items were a little underseasoned but easily resolved by adding table salt.
It was my first have dinner in belfast on my first day arrived. So greatful, the guy receptionist accepted us without booking eventho they were busy. It hard to find place walk in on friday night. Food was lovely and huge portions for main dish. Luke and others waiters were very friendly and nice. Definitely recommend.
