Jon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with 35 years Practice and Industry experience. Having trained at Deloitte he was appointed Operations Director of Starplan Furniture in his 20’s-(its youngest ever) where he was in total charge of day to day operations of a Group of Companies turning over £25m pa. After 7 years he left to form his own Accountancy Practice which he headed for 20 years employing over 50 professionals which he sold in 2011. Jon has also been an Entrepreneur, founder and Director of over 30 different companies in his working life to date and has an extensive knowledge of what makes a business successful. Alongside his accounts and tax work he still works as Head of Business Development for an IT Company based in Belfast. All Proactive Staff are fully qualified Chartered or Certified Accountants or Chartered Technicians.
