We were nervous first dropping our dog for daycare trial (as she’s a rescue and had spent considerable time in kennels) – we needn’t have worried. She loved it. I think she was bit put out she didn’t go back the next day! The staff were great and seemed very fond of her. Knowing our dog is happy and well cared for has put us at ease. I think we miss her more than she misses us! We also get a nice sleepy and content dog at the end of the day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
Our dog seemed happy enough staying here for two nights. Staff were nice and dog well looked after, no issues.
A family run business who take the best of care of my dog when he stays. Easily accessed from the Greater Belfast area and good pricing too. You can’t leave your pet in better hands than Breeny’s.

t concerns we might have. They are very reassuring and professional. I’ve taken my dog since 2021 to the good dog academy and we have used both dog day care and dog boarding. Our dog is the happiest when on site. The installations are great and they keep making improvements all the time. They also always have a friendly word and a smile.
We are so glad we found Ashley at good dog academy! After being let down last min we didn’t think we would get our 2 dogs looked after; squeezing them in wasn’t a bother for Ashley, we told her how nervous we were about leaving the dogs and she let us come up and view the academy! Everything was spotless and all the dogs in her care seemed to be having a great time! I felt really reassured leaving the dogs and would highly recommend! It wasn’t a normal kennel it really did feel like a home away from home would definitely book our two dogs a return stay.
We were told about good dog academy from a friend so I decided to try it. We got in touch with Ashley and she was more than accommodating she showed us all round her premises which we were very impressed with and she couldn’t have been more welcoming. We immediately felt so comfortable with her and trusted her with our baby and it was the best decision we made.

What We Offer:
Ferndale Boarding Kennels & Cattery is a small family business situated on the Greengraves Road, between Newtownards and Dundonald. We are within easy reach of Belfast, Bangor and further afield. We initially provided boarding and day care for dogs, however we have added a beautiful, purpose built Cattery and so we are now able to cater for cats too! We are surrounded by large open fields where your dog will go for long walks on a daily basis. All dogs are walked on their own or with their family 4 times a day, and whilst the dogs are out enjoying their walk, the cats will be curled up, toasty and warm in their spacious, brand new pod. Judy is a star! My lurchers have been going to Judy for quite a few years now – average stay 2 weeks. Not once have they come out with any kind of marks, illness, or even weight loss! Judy sends me updates of the boys while I’m away and posts pics to let me know how they’re enjoying running around. Can’t thank her enough for looking after Dallas and Benson so well. (Unlike another kennel in Ards!!) Judy will also ensure if anything is amiss she immediately contacts either an emergency contact or vet – no ifs buts or maybes.
Roo has been coming to Judy’s for 5years and loves it. We can go away happy that she is well looked after and I would thoroughly recommend Ferndale
My wee pom Lola goes every Saturday and she loves it!.. Judy is very good with her and my daughter’s cookapoo, they can run about till their hearts content.
