What We Offer:
The Wong family opened their first Welcome Restaurant in Northern Ireland in 1973. The Stranmillis Restaurant was opened in 1982 by the then Lord Mayor, Tom Patton. Now in it’s second generation, we are celebrating our 40th year of operations. Charlie and Michael Wong, sons of the founder, took over the restaurant in 2016. Charlie has been working for 10 years abroad in places such as USA, Bhutan, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong in the Food and Beverage industry. The Welcome Takeaways are now independently run by his cousins. The Welcome Restaurant has won a range of awards throughout the years, including Best Belfast Restaurant, Master Chef and Egon Ronay Awards. My partner and I visited this restaurant tonight. We had an excellent meal here with aromatic duck for starter (which was shredded in front of us), sweet and sour chicken, salted chilli chicken, rice and chips. The atmosphere was excellent although a little loud at times (not the restaurants fault, there was a birthday party enjoying themselves)
The atmosphere was lovely, the team was amazing! Definitely worth the experience of going to eat out. The food was mouthwatering and full of flavour. Highly recommend the set menu for 2, to try a bit of everything, go hungry.
Great food, great service, superb choice of meals. Well worth the trip from Ballymena.

August 4th- We came here for dinner while visiting Belfast and it was pretty good. The food was served quickly and overall very tasty, though I wish my chicken dish had a bit more protein in it. The vegetable spring rolls were my favorite part of the meal and I would definitely recommend those.
Amazing dinner. Seen many great things about Red Panda on Belfast tourist reviews. Lived up to the hype in my book. Delicious food and would recommend everyone eat here when visiting Belfast.
Definitely the best and historic Chinese restaurant in Northern Ireland from 1999. Gorgeous and perfect idea about Chinese food, the first but also the best.

Dinning in is much better than take away, although this place is a little pricey! Good food, great service. Parking nearby can be troublesome especially during the day. I would not say this place is value for money but it is a good little local venue for a date night.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Nice atmosphere. Food always lovely. Happy with overall service.
Good quality tasty meal. Friendly efficient service. Reasonably priced.
