In 1999 Mr Paul Matthews established Oakland Insurance with a goal in mind; to provide local solutions to the insurance needs of those living in Northern Ireland. He had a vision of a one-stop insurance shop that would provide local people with local staff – to ensure their needs were fully understood and insured. Through meeting his customer’s needs he soon developed a large range of products from a variety of insurance companies enabling Oakland to be extremely competitive within the Northern Ireland Market place. It was clear that there was a need for a local and competitive insurance broker throughout many areas of Northern Ireland and that customers liked to have a local face to pop in and see in times of change. Oakland therefore opened further branches throughout the province, boasting 5 branches today.
