Irish Rugby Football Union (Ulster)

134 Mount Merrion Ave, Castlereagh, Belfast BT6 0FT, United Kingdom
What We Offer:
Irish Rugby is the home of competitive amateur rugby in Belfast. The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU)  (Irish: Cumann Rugbaí na hÉireann) is the body managing rugby union in the island of Ireland (both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland). The IRFU has its head office at 10/12 Lansdowne Road and home ground at Aviva Stadium, where adult men’s Irish rugby union international matches are played. In addition, the Union also owns the Ravenhill Stadium in Belfast, Thomond Park in Limerick and a number of grounds in provincial areas that have been rented to clubs. We are a proudly amateur club offering a good quality of rugby, a friendly atmosphere and are pleased to welcome both new rugby players and supporters to join our vibrant, thriving, family club. We are always looking for new players and supporters to join the Irish family.

Good night out
Always emotional here. Season ticket holder. Love this place. Very, very welcoming. Always.
Ulster Rugby, the fans and the atmosphere is one that I would recommend to anyone. It’s a great day out whether that’s by yourself, with your family or spending a day out with friends. They may not always win but watching the Ulster men play is a great experience.

CIYMS

Circular Rd, Belmont Rd, Belfast BT4 2GD, United Kingdom
What We Offer:
The Church of Ireland Young Men’s Society or “C.I.” as it is commonly known in sporting circles is one of the oldest and most important sporting and leisure organisations in Belfast. Located in spacious grounds at Circular Road, Belmont, it provides a range of sporting, leisure and social activities for all ages unequalled by any other sports and leisure organisation in the city. There are currently 1,600 members of which 800 are children and young adults (under the age of 18). As the name implies, “C.I.” was originally formed to cater for young men belonging to the Church of Ireland. This important link is retained but the organisation has now widened its scope and embraces those of all religious persuasions and female members have, for a long time, played a very important role in all aspects of “C.I.” life.

Great club, members very welcoming and friendly.
Great afternoon watching the Ireland vs England Six Nations match on St Patrick’s Day. Good crowd and excellent facilities. Looking forward to getting back there and checking out the sports scene.
Superb facilities and absolutely buzzing with atmosphere, there is always so much going on around the place. My only gripe is the tv’s in the bar for big matches are a bit poor and the sound is awful, but you can get a burger at half time.

Lisburn Rugby Club

71 Eglantine Rd, Lisburn BT27 5RQ, United Kingdom
What We Offer:

Located mid way between Lisburn and Hillsborough, Lisburn Rugby Football Club, now in its 136th year, has a rich and proud history. Formed in 1884 the Club quickly found success winning the Ulster Rugby Challenge Cup in 1888. This success seems to have been short lived with the club all but disappearing by 1890. In 1899 a club called Lisburn ‘Wheelers Rugby Club’ was formed by ‘Lisburn Wheelers Cycling Club’ to give their members a form of winter exercise. The ‘Wheelers’ continued to play on and off until 1913 and whether due to a shortage of players or the increasing threat of war, the Lisburn club ceased to be. Lisburn Rugby Football Club presently field 3 Senior Mens teams with the 1st XV currently playing in the Ulster Rugby Championship Division 2, the 2nd XV in the Ulster Rugby Provincial Divison 4 with the 3rd XV in the Regional South East League.
